Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in an embedded search tool is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request under its own policy. Hunt County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its servers.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server receives basic technical details about that visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show, in aggregate, which pages visitors use and where visits end. Analytics providers assist with that measurement. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This website does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Hunt County dockets or personal case data. Original court records stay with the court and its clerk. Under Texas Government Code §552.0035, judiciary information is not handled through the ordinary Texas Public Information Act process. Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 addresses many administrative judicial records, not the adjudicative court-case files maintained by clerks. Visitor information is never assembled into consumer reports, and Hunt County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that company's privacy policy, including its retention and sharing rules. Review those terms before sending a query because this policy does not control the partner's system.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to clerk pages, court portals, re:SearchTX, legal-aid resources, or other search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's policy governs. Check it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking practices are outside our control.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be available to these limited categories:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for information collected here. No internet service can guarantee perfect protection, so a breach or unauthorized access can never be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Notice that a minor submitted information will prompt its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Texas privacy and consumer-protection law may provide rights beyond those listed here. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
